Meet Amanda Hough - Genesis Health and Wellness
My name is Amanda. I am a qualified Health Coach with 'Accredited Health Coaching Australia'. I am a wife, mother of 4, and hold a Masters Degree in Special Education.
I am passionate about supporting and promoting good health and wellbeing, focussing on diet and lifestyle choices as a means to achieve this. I follow a whole food plant based diet and have so for 8 years.
My journey to good health came about through my own health challenge. Since childhood I suffered from asthma. However, since changing my diet and lifestyle 8 years ago I have been free from this condition.
How did I do this? Through dietary trial and error.
I discovered by eliminating certain food allergens and minimising toxins, I was able to reduce asthma medication to zero and eventually regain healthy lung function.
By eliminating processed foods, and increasing fruits and vegetables in the diet, I have supported many friends and family members to enhance their overall health. I believe this change reduced the need for pharmaceuticals and improved their health condition.
So what do I stand for ?
Holistic health and wellness, which centres on physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual health. It addresses the cause of illness and disease, rather than focussing on the issue itself.
